As of now, you have created a bodice pattern with darts…

What if you DON’T want a dart?
How about a PRINCESS?? What’s that, you ask? CLICK HERE!
LET’s BEGIN the Princess DRAFT
You will need:
FRONT BODICE SLOPER
BACK BODICE SLOPER
PENCIL
ERASER
RULER and TWO SHEETS OF PAPER
Remember to apply pressure to your slopers when tracing..
Then..
You will NEED to find the MIDDLE of the Shoulder Line and connect to the APEX point of the dart to establish the Princess Line of BOTH front and back
Label pieces accordingly with accurate terms: Center Front – Princess Front + Center Back – Princess Back
MAKE SURE YOU LABEL CORRECTLY – Ms. CHAVEZ LABELED the PIECES INCORRECTLY!
Check for ACCURACY by folding ONE shoulder line and matching it to the other shoulder line.
Your Princess Lines at the shoulder must match, along with Necklines and Armholes.
And Lastly….
The finished product!

- Take a picture of TRACED SLOPERS
- Take a picture of Princess Lines DRAWN IN and pieces LABELED
- Take a picture of Princess pieces cut out
