Folding your Fabric

Be mindful of your SELVAGE!

Selvage is the FINISHED EDGE of your Fabric. When folding your fabric you MUST make sure your selvages meet, and the right side of the fabric remains within the fold. Selvage is PARALLEL to Lengthwise Grain and the DIRECTION in which you place ALL pattern pieces unless indicated otherwise. Placing it in the wrong grain will affect the fit of the garment and render it incorrect.
